Book by Sonia Manzano

Sonia's career began when she was accepted into the High School of Performing Arts. She won a scholarship to Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and soon starred in the original production of the off-Broadway show "Godspell." Sonia then joined the cast of "Sesame Street" where she eventually began writing scripts, for which she's won 15 Emmy Awards. Sonia has received awards from the Association of Hispanic Arts, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families and Hispanic Heritage Award for Education. She also received an honorary doctorate in fine arts from Notre Dame University and has been inducted into the Bronx Hall of Fame.

stephenStephen has composed over 250 songs and scores for Sesame Street resulting in three Emmy awards for “Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition.” He composed “Free to Be…You and Me” and several other songs for the landmark children’s album and Emmy Award-winning television special of the same name. He composed the top ten single, “You Take My Breath Away,” and was awarded three Gold Records. Film credits include "Bang the Drum Slowly" with Robert DeNiro, "One Summer Love" starring Susan Sarandon and Beau Bridges and "Red Riding Hood" with Isabella Rossellini and Craig T. Nelson.

billyBilly's plays have been produced at Playwrights Horizons, the Woolly Mammoth Theatre, amongst others. He's been published in "Best American Short Plays 1992-93 & 1999-2000" and "Best Stage Scenes 2003". He was awarded a New York Foundation for the Arts Grant. Plays published include "Light Years", "Light Years Part One: Freshman Year", and "Little Red Riding Hood". His writing for musical theater includes the original concept and additional lyrics for the Broadway musical "Rent". Television writing includes scripts for "Postcards From Buster" (PBS), "The Wonder Pets" (Nickelodeon), "Courage the Cowardly Dog" (Cartoon Network), and "Beavis & Butt-head" (MTV).
